The white sands and azure waters of the south coast of Cambodia are a world away from the hustle and bustle of their Thai neighbors. Kep was Cambodia’s first beach resort and still has a feel of its colonial past, while Sihanouk Ville is the more popular spot, it still retains a laid back atmosphere. Cambodia’s idyllic islands and shining white sands are slowly but surely becoming known to the world’s beach lovers. Kilometres of empty, white sandy beaches along this coastline make it one of the best. Sihanoukville is the best known and largest of the coastal towns but it is still remains a very peaceful place to relax for a few days.

Day 1
Phnom Penh – Kep

Car drive to Kep en route stop at Kampong Trach, is the district borders Vietnam, These mountain areas of Kampong Trach were one of the last Khmer Rouge holdouts. Kampong Trach town is small and the areas main attraction is a series of limestone caves and tubes that have been carved into a nearby mountain. The roof of a large cave in the center of a mountain has collapsed, making a small, enclosed jungle. Pagodas and shrines have been built amongst the caves, providing for some excellent photo possibilities. Bring a flashlight and wear good walking shoes. Arrive Kep in the evening, Kep city was created in 1908 during the French colonial, it is a small town but rich in fresh seafood like crab, snail and cuttlefish. Overnight in Kep. Phnom Penh Kep: 174km / 3hr.

Day 2
Kep – Kampot (B)

After breakfast, take a boat to Koh Tonsay is know as “Rabbit Island” as apparently the shape of island looks like rabbit, it located about 4.5km southwest of Kep, the sea here is shallow and has a long slope, making Koh Tonsay excellent for swimming. Return to Kep in the afternoon then continue to Kampot the charming costal town and stunning surrounding offer a look into Cambodia’s more recent history; the one under the French rule from 1863 to 1953. Town sight seeing along wide river, mountains, lush nature, friendly people make this trip an ideal true for relaxation. Kampot has been the administrative center for southern Cambodia for hundreds of years and is home to a striking collection of colonial architecture, there are numerous beautiful old French colonial buildings, some new villas, and several original Khmer wooden house. Overnight in Kampot.Kep Kampot: 26km.

Day 3
Kampot – Sihanouk Ville (B)

After breakfast, drive along the coastal and mountains to Ream National Park, passing the particular spectacular of rice field, fishermen village. Enjoy swimming on the unspoiled beach. Overnight in Sihanouk ville. Kampot – Sihanouk ville: 96km.

Day 4
Sihanouk ville – Ream National Park (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Preak Tek Sap (freshwater river) located about 18km from the town, take the boat on the river and through the mangroves channels in the Preah Sihanouk National Park, has become known as “Ream” because it is in the Ream commune. The park encompasses 21,000 hectares of coastal area including sandy beaches, mangrove forests, the Preak Tuk Sap estuary, off-shore coral reefs and two islands. A variety of water and jungle fowl, rhesus monkeys can be seen by visitors, though the park also contains rarely glimpsed species such as mouse deer and pangolin. The boat reach to sandy beach and stop to visit at the fishermen village, short trekking throughout the park (if weather permit). Return to Sihanouk ville. Sihanouk ville – Ream National Park: 18km.

Day 5
Sihanouk Ville – Phnom Penh (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Phnom Penh International airport for departure. End of program. Sihanouk Ville – Phnom Penh: 230km.
