PHNOM PENH – ANGKOR
The masterpiece of Angkor Wat is Cambodia’s most beloved and best preserved temple. The 500-acre site is one of the largest religious monuments in the world and represents the architectural pinnacle of the Khmer Empire. Originally dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, it has remained a place of worship since its founding in the 12th century. Thought to be a miniature replica of the universe, its composition of towers, moats and concentric walls reveals an architectural sophistication, and the bas-reliefs with their plump figures and triumphal battle scenes reflect a robust, healthy and wealthy period of history.
Day 1
PHNOM PENH ARRIVAL (D)
Upon arrival pick up at Phnom Penh International Airport and transfer to hotel. Visit Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Toul Sleng Museum, Independent Monument and Victory Monument. Dinner at local restaurant and accommodation.
Day 2
PHNOM PENH – SIEM REAP – ANGKOR WAT (B, L, D)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for departure to Siem Reap by morning flight. Arrive at Siem Reap International Airport, transfer to visit South Gate of Angkor Thom including Bayon, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Royal Enclosure, Elephant Terrace and Terrace of the Leper King. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit Ta Prohm, Angkor Wat and view sunset from Phnom Bakheng. Dinner with traditional dance show at local restaurant and accommodation.
Day 3
SIEM REAP-BANTREAY SREI (B, L, D)
Breakfast at hotel, visit Banteay Srei, Banteay Samre. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda, Ta Prohm, Ta Keo and Banteay Kdei. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 4
SIEM REAP-TONLE SAP (B, L, D)
Have breakfast at hotel. Visit Wat Bo and Take a boat trip on Tonle Sap to Floating Village. Have lunch at local restaurant. Visit Sra Srang, Pre Rup, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean and Preah Khan. Have dinner and accommodation.
Day 5
SIEM REAP DEPARTURE (B)
Have breakfast at hotel, free at leisure until transfer to airport for departure.
